AVIATION/ AIR FRANCE FL447 RECORDERS ARRIVE IN PARIS

The French BEA has announced that the recently recovered Flight Data Recorder and Cockpit Voice Recorder from AIR FRANCE Flight 447 has arrived in Paris. The agency will now begin to attempt to retreive the data from the recorders that were onboard the Airbus A330, when it went down in the Atlantic on June 1, 2009, killing all 228 passengers and crew onboard. The BEA also released today, an overview of the wreckage area and identified parts on the ocean floor. Recovery efforts continue at the wreckage site.
