ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

FILM/ "CAPTAIN AMERICA" POSTER RELEASED: The 1st film poster for "Captain America," starring Chris Evans, has just been released. Evans has a sober expression on his face; the colors of his iconic costume are muted and bleak; and the whole poster is covered with war-movie grime, as if a land-mine just went off behind Captain. The summer tentpole opens in wide released on July 22.

TV/ "NEW YORK CITY" HOUSEWIVES PUSHED BACK: Bravo has announced that the 4th season of "The Real Housewives of New York City" will not premiere on February 15 as scheduled. The premiere has now been pushed back to March or April. Initial reports suggested that the network was not happy with the finished shoot, however Bravo quickly corrected that. Normally, the net has a window of 2 to 3 months from the end of filming until the premiere date. However, filming for this seasons "New York City" was just completed at the end of January, thus making the February 15 premiere date unrealistic. "The Real Housewives of Miami" has been scheduled for its series premiere on February 22, in place of the "New York City" edition. Bravo's Andy Cohen quickly tried to quiet the storm by releasing his own statement about the moves, saying he thought there was enough TV heat for both shows. "No conspiracy here folks. We have an embarrassment of riches with Miami and New York and I assure you that "The Real Housewives of New York City" will be well worth the wait and "The Real Housewives of Miami" is hot, hot, hot," said Cohen. "Heaven knows we could use a bit of heat on the East Coast about right now".

THEATRE/ BRINKLEY TO JOIN "CHICAGO": Supermodel Christie Brinkley will make her Broadway debut in the long-running revival of "Chicago" at the Ambassador Theatre. Brinkley will step into the role of Roxie Hart beginning April 4. She made her acting debut in 1983 opposite Chevy Chase in the feature film “National Lampoon’s Vacation". The revival of "Chicago" began life as an Encores! presentations offered by City Center. The musical opened on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in November 1996 where it remained through February 1997. The musical then transferred to the Shubert Theatre on February 11, 1997, and played that house through January 26, 2003. The revival reopened at the Ambassador Theatre, its current home, on January 29, 2003.
