MUSIC/ TIZIANO FERRO COMES OUT AS GAY

One of Italy's most famous pop stars, Tiziano Ferro, has come out as gay in the new issue of Italy's Vanity Fair. Ferro told VF he finally decided to come out because he wanted to live a happy life. "For a long time I haven't felt good about myself, and after many tough years, I've come to the conclusion that I want to live better," he confessed. Italian tabloids had published stories in recent months linking Ferro to a mystery man. Ferro said the articles hurt, but not because he was worried about being outed. “I would get very upset because I wished I had a boyfriend, but I had no one,” he said. Ferro will reveal more details about his sexuality in the autobiography, 'Trent'anni e una chiacchierata con papa,' which goes on sale in Italy on October 20. Ferro has released 4 studio albums since his debut in 2002. His latest, 2008’s "Alla Mia Eta," went10x platinum in Italy and sold more than 500,000 copies. His albums have hit #1 in Italy, Mexico and Switzerland and he's collaborated with Mary J. Blige, Kelly Rowland and Laura Pausini, among others. (SK COMMENT: I have been a fan of Ferro since his 1st album. My favorite song of his is "Stop! Dimentica." You can find clips of that song, and others, on YouTube and various other music sites around the world).
