ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

FILM/ "SATC2" TRAILER/STILLS RELEASED: The 1st official trailer, along with photo stills, have been released from next Springs "Sex and The City 2". Sarah Jessica Parker,  returns to the big screen as Carrie and her friends Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) take on another adventure set 2 years after the events of the first film. The trailer gives a small hint at what's in store for the group, including a trip to Morocco, but reveals very little about the plot. Parker says that shooting the new film was "probably the most fun we've ever had". The film will be released in the U.S. on May 28, 2010.

BOOKS/ DAN BROWN TOPS UK XMAS CHART: Dan Brown's best-selling thriller "The Lost Symbol" has topped the UK book charts for Christmas. The "unstoppable juggernaut" of a book will be in the top slot on Christmas Day after clocking up the most sales last week. "The Lost Symbol" pulled clear of its rivals after facing stiff competition from "Guinness World Records 2010," which was #1 last week. "Eclipse," the latest in Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" saga, was #3. Meyer's "Twilight" was #4, with Stieg Larsson's "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" was #5.  According to one book chain, "The Lost Symbol" broke every record in the UK when it was published - biggest and fastest-selling adult hardback fiction title, biggest-selling eBook, biggest print run from its publisher. Brown last topped the Christmas book chart in 2004 with the paperback version of "The Da Vinci Code".
