Abbaworld, an interactive exhibition produced in association with members of the Swedish pop group, will receive its world debut at London's Earls Court venue on January 27, 2010. The exhibition will be staged at the central London location for a limited period: no end date has been provided. Set to consist of 25 rooms containing a range of never-before-seen memorabilia, music recordings, video footage and images from the band's career, Abbaworld will also boast a number of interactive 'live experiences' that will allow fans to perform onstage alongside the group or star in one of their videos via 3D holographic technology. Following their visit, fans that have attended the exhibition will be able to access music and videos recorded live as part of the interactive experience at www.abbaworld.com. The exhibition, which has been produced by Stockholm-based Touring Exhibitions, will also feature an introductionary film about the pop quartet from acclaimed Swedish director Jonas Akerlund. Abba has sold close to 400 million albums during its career. The 2008 filmed version of the musical "Mamma Mia" is the highest-grossing movie of all time at the UK box office. Speaking on behalf of her bandmates, Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, founder member Frida Lyngstad said in a statement that the group was "delighted to be part of Abbaworld and to have the opportunity to share our amazing experiences with our fans. The interactive elements mean this is the first time we can actually take them on the journey with us. London has a special place in all our hearts and we are looking forward to the world premiere of Abbaworld in January".
