AVIATION/ GREAT LAKES BEECH DAMAGED UPON LANDING AT DIA
No one onboard a GREAT LAKES AVIATION Beech 1900D were injured yesterday, when the left hand main gear collpased on landing in Denver, Colorado. Flight 5150 was on Domestic Service from Pueblo to Denver, Colorado, with 9 passengers and 2 crew members onboard. Upon touchdown at DIA, the Beech veered left off the runway, at which time the left hand main gear collapsed shortly before the aircraft came to a stop. The passengers and crew were evacuated without injury and were then bussed to the terminal. According to some reports, the crew reported a rudder failure and a wind shear alert while on finals. The NTSB and FAA are investigating.
