WORLD NEWS/ TD4 FORMS IN ATLANTIC
The 4th Tropical system of the 2010 Atlantic Hurricane season has formed this morning far to the east of the Lesser Antilles. Tropical Depression 4 has winds of 35mph, with gusts to 45mph. Additional strengthening is forecast and the system should become Tropical Storm Colin late today or early tomorrow. The storm is currently located 1365 miles east of the Lesser Antilles and is moving to the W/NW at 17mph. An increase in forward motion is also forecast over the next 48 hours. Long range forecasts suggest that TD4 will peak as a Tropical Storm within 3 to 4 days due to increasing wind shear. Those same forecasts also suggest that the storm will remain well off the coast of the US and could be the SW of the Bermuda by this coming weekend. There are no current watches or warnings posted for TD4.
