SK MONDAY RAVE-OR-RANT

FILM: The Kids Are All Right
SYNOPSIS: A heartfelt new comedy from acclaimed director Lisa Cholodenko. 2 teenaged children get the notion to seek out their biological father and introduce him into the family life that their 2 mothers have built for them. Once the donor is found, the household will never be the same, as family ties are defined, re-defined, and re-re-defined. The New York Times raves that it's "a generous, nearly note-perfect portrait of a modern family," and Entertainment Weekly calls the movie "funny, smart and sexy!"
STARRING: Annette Bening, Mark Ruffalo, Julianne Moore, Mia Wasikowska, Josh Hutcherson
RUNTIME: 104 minutes
RATED: R

SK OPINION: A dynamic cast leads this smart, funny, and ultimately, touching film. The actors are at the top of their game, in particular Bening, who shines in her role as 1 of the Mom's. Look for multiple Oscar noms from this highly praised film. Very Highly Recommended.
