AVIATION/ FALCON DAMAGED IN VAIL INCIDENT
A Dassault Falcon Corporate aircraft suffered substantial damages in a takeoff incident at the Eagle County Aiport in Vail, Colorado, on Friday, January 8. At 12:25pm, the Falcon, with 5 passengers and 2 Pilots onboard, was on its takeoff roll, when the Pilots aborted the takeoff for unknown reasons. The crew could not stop the aircraft on the runway, and it slid into the snow, collapsing the undercarriage. None of the 7 passengers and crew onboard was injured in the incident. The Falcon, which is pictured above with registration XA-PCC, suffered substantial damages and has been withdrawn from service. It is not known if it can be repaired. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
